Welcome to CAI Annual Congress of Anaesthesiology 2024

Dear Friends and Esteemed Colleagues, a Dhaoine Uaisle: Fáilte romhaibh uilig don Comhdháil Idirnáisiúnta na hÉireann ar Ainéistéise 2024

We are delighted to welcome you to O’Reilly Hall in UCD for the Annual Congress of Anaesthesiology 2024. This is our second in-person congress post covid and we are excited to offer our Fellows, Trainees, and international delegates a memorable educational and social experience.

The theme of this year’s congress is ‘Different Perspectives’. We have a number of very exciting speakers and topics to look forward to. We have a session looking at the trainee perspective as well as a session on the patient perspective. We are also delighted to welcome Professor Paul Dargan to speak on the poisoning of Mr Litvinenko in 2006.

As well as the lectures from international and national speakers, you can also attend workshops, browse through the short-listed e-posters, and visit our trade partners' stands. We have added two additional workshops this year including one on reflective practice as well as a quality initiative project workshop and for the first time, we are running a ‘Sim War’ at Congress.

We continue our aim towards gender equality among the speakers and focus our attention on sustainability.

Thank you for joining us and we hope you enjoy the conference.
