National QI Project – TRACE
Participation in CAI’s first National QI project - Theatre Recovery and Anaesthetic Nurse Capnography Education Project - TRACE is being considered by Anaesthesia Depts in a number of training hospitals in ROI with the support of local Safety Leads.
A brief summary of the project can be viewed in the link below. Lecture series, poster display and staff surveys will be delivered at local department level. Data collection and interpretation will be overseen by CAI.
Future newsletter content
It has been proposed that in addition to updates on events and activities, future SANI newsletter content might also include brief anonymised reports from members of patient safety incidents which merit circulation to a wider audience for the purpose of highlighting risk, sharing learning, preventing recurrences and ultimately improving patient safety.
