NCHD Safety Leads
The number of anaesthesia departments that now have a named NCHD Safety Lead has been steadily increasing. Direct correspondence was sent from SANI Chair I. Leonard to CAI trainees in advance of last NCHD changeover to encourage them to consider taking up this role and highlighting the potential benefits and opportunities the role may offer.
Names of new NCHD Safety Leads from individual departments should be forwarded to SANI Admin at patient.safety@coa.ie so that mailing list can be updated.

In addition to the core SANI Working group of Consultant + NCHD Safety Leads - membership has been opened to include anaesthetists and allied health professionals who have a shared interest in Anaesthesia Patient Safety. QR code and registration details below. Working group communication will continue through the Siilo App. Email updates will be sent to both Working group and broader SANI membership.
